This year, our weather was okay so I shouldn't complain but when I think of Mother's Days of the past, I only remember chilly and/or rainy days. And, I enjoyed my "breakfast in bed" treatment etc... The meal has improved over the years. It used to include carrots (yes, for breakfast!). This year, my oldest even ran out for coffee (he doesn't know how to make it yet). Very sweet! I think most of us moms consider ourselves immensely privileged to be such a big part of our kids' lives. -Glad you got to celebrate your mom twice, Mark!
