I wonder what the thought process was of those that remained. Laziness or the realization that with the others gone, there would be more food for them so no need to move?

So now we know, sea lions are picky with their food and food chain. I'd take anchovies over herrings anyday. It is good to see these creatures have returned and nothing serious happened to them.

Nothing Profound: No kidding! I'd swim a little for good seafood. Not five hundred miles but maybe one or two!

One of the Guys: Thank you for the mention! You put me in some fine company, and your site is one of my very favorites.

JJ: Thanks! Made me smile to think of those sea lions heading out on a road trip for some good food. Yes -we had actual sunshine today, too! Really hoping that's a general trend toward spring weather!

Fly Girl: I think someone needs to do the "Hansel and Gretel" thing and sprinkle a trail of herring back home to San Francisco Bay.

We can only hope. The world is changing so fast, and not always for the better.

Hope you're doing well Heather.

Your site was one of the sites we gave some props to today. Enjoy!

Have a good one.

"Follow the food" Seems to be a maxim which holds true for sea lions as well as humans.
