Hot and humid in Ohio. A sultry Sunday afternoon. One of the so-called dog days of summer. Our dog Lily, a six year old chocolate lab, enjoyed splashing through her day. Check out the video of our favorite swimming spot (I’ll use HiDef next time). The second video “If You Give a Hannah a Video Camera” is a good argument for keeping hold of the camera at all times!

What a lovely swimming hole! We have a few like that around here. A pleasant stroll through the woods on a hot summer’s day, and then a refreshing dip in a cool stream or lake.
Beautiful! That’s a really pretty swimming place, is the water clean? Lilly is adorable, she looks like she had a ton of fun. We’ll be in PR in August, when are you going?
This is indeed a “refreshing” post
) Thanks for sharing.
Bush walks are the best for getting out of the heat. I love them. The video just sounds so cool and relaxed.
NothingProfound: Not a lot of people know about this one which makes it a fairly private location most of the time. When we hit that trail, it’s all about Lily (and she knows it)!
Fly Girl: I don’t know that I’d swim there, but Lily absolutely loves it. We’ll be in PR 8/3 – 8/10 with a couple of days on Vieques. I’d love to hear your plans!
Thanks Susanne: Even if we don’t get in the water ourselves, we generally get “refreshed” when Lily shakes it all off. It’s kind of funny to watch all of us run from her when she trots out of the water!
Cate: The trail is nicely shaded. The shoreline is the only sun exposed area except for the trail head.
