Donna: You sound as organized as I'd like to be. I'm not going to ask if you've done any baking yet!

Montemarano: -Hope you had an enjoyable holiday and that you got out on that bike!

Wow people, it's Thanksgiving Day! I'm happy with my extra day off, and I am planning to make something fun that will probably involve a bike ride and seeing something new in Steamboat Springs I haven't seen yet.
You write new post at Thanksgiving?

What a beautiful light display. I'd rush Christmas to attend. In fact, I'm rushing Christmas this year. The tree (artificial for the first time) is up waiting for ornaments. It's my favorite holiday for which I will say thanks on Thanksgiving Day.

Primary Work: Once Thanksgiving comes and goes it's a fast slide into the Christmas season. I hope you enjoy a meaningful Thanksgiving Day with friends and family.

One of The Guys: Isn't it a great idea?! Wildlights grows in size and features every year (now with environmentally friendly LED lights). My photos are but a thumbnail preview of the event, and I plan to post more after my next visit.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too!!

Donald: Winters are a little tamer around here than when I was a kid. I do like the cold better when there's snow falling. Getting snowed in can actually be a pretty wonderful experience!

Cate: It's a shame to miss a present moment or season due to the next one pressing in prematurely. We need to pace ourselves!

Suzanne: My only Christmas experiences have been winter ones. I wouldn't mind trying a summer Christmas someday!

Thanks Graham! I don't have a lot of nighttime photography experience and have been experimenting with it. ~Didn't want to lug around my tripod, so I used trash cans and fences to steady my lens.

Trisha: It's a nice kick-off, huh?! I'll be back at Wildlights at least two more times this year.

The lights look great, well worth the extra days of display.
Its funny how we all view christmas differently, some celebrating during their summer months others like us in Scotland celebrating during winter, and at one time having snow. Now with the changing climate all we seem to get is wind and rain during the christmas season, which makes a mockery of the snow scenes we send out with our greetings cards, and the lights don't seem to have the same magic without the snow, but then again Jesus was born in a hot climate, and as its supposed to be his birthday we celebrate, snow should not matter. Its santa Clause who needs the snow to get around the world, we were told when we were kids, so I wonder how he is coping with climate change. LOL
Sorry to rant on, your photos would look even better in a snow scene, but that was in days of yore, when we here were used to it, and snow made christmas feel even better.
