Why Him? Why Her?
Inspiration is ours to own as fuel for forward motion. It can be drawn from both the remarkable and the exceedingly ordinary. From random strangers as well as our intimates. It can be as uncomplicated as standing before a spectacular vista or reading a popular news story. Or it may grow out of life complications that bolster our own resiliency, leaving us better equipped for the next challenge.
Life can be tough on the living. Chips and cracks are often the price of our participation. Repairs and healings may yet leave lingering scars. The mark of a single experience may mark a life. Viewing what has been overcome as an achievement allows us to cherish even unexpected and perhaps dreaded changes as character refinement. It allows us to see the etchings of abrading experiences as identifying marks, strangely beautiful highlights of a unique journey.
It is my intent to fill this space as an ocean tide decorates a quiet beach, with scattered treasures that might be eagerly claimed as valued discoveries. Some things spin us through the machinations of a day, while others, instead, move us within. Compelling us to share, whether in social media or in actual human conversation, in hopes that others too will feel that surge of powerful and motivating hope.
Send me your stories. The points at which you have been tested, the people who give you strength even in absent moments. I’ll share some of mine as well, and we’ll grow this space together.
Write it. Say it. Show it. Share it.
Inspiration is contagious…
Pivotal moments arrive at random times. Sometimes, as with major life events, they are joyfully or fearfully anticipated. Most often, they are unexpected. Arbitrary gifts.
What makes an experience “pivotal”? Its immediate impact upon direction and/or attitude. Whether shared or discovered alone, a pivotal moment is confirmation of your presence in the Present.
